Securities America Welcomes Texas-Based Team with $139 million in Client AssetsLA VISTA, Neb. – March 19, 2015 – Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS), welcomed independent advisors Cody Siebert, Ronald Briggs, Shawn Loring and James Klodosky.
The group did not take the decision to move lightly, reviewing 42 independent firms in their due diligence process. Siebert relied on her 31 years in the industry, which includes several years in operations, to build out a list for selecting the best broker-dealer for them.
“You hire a broker-dealer to quickly and cleanly process your business to help serve clients. The rest is just icing on the cake,” said Siebert. “What set Securities America apart was the technology. You can log into one system to see client assets and the firm-based reoccurring revenue.”
Their extended research included a focus on the long-term, specifically access to clearing options through National Financial and Pershing, as well as a work ethic and culture that matched their group. As a community advocate for the protection of the financial services sector who works in collaboration with government agencies, Siebert had extremely high standards for IT security.
“Anybody can say commitment,” Siebert said, “but we found Securities America actually provided the proven commitment to technology and technology support before and after we transitioned. From the security systems designed to mitigate breaches, to the employee level dedication to log in with us and fix the problems, it has been streamlined and efficient.
Siebert, Briggs and Klodosky joined Securities America from 1st Global Capital Corp. Loring joined from Sagepoint Financial and will serve as the OSJ for the team. The team brings its clients more than 120 total years of experience.
