Securities America Unveils Redesigned Advisor Content SiteLa Vista, Neb. – Oct. 13, 2015 – Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS) unveiled a redesigned content site for its advisors. Called simply the Business Center, the site complements and integrates with the firm’s Resource Center operations reference site and award-winning Advantage workstation to create a comprehensive online experience for advisors.
“Securities America prides itself on listening and responding to our advisors’ needs and requests,” said Janine Wertheim, president of Securities America Advisors, Inc. and senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Securities America, Inc. “When we began thinking about creating the new site, we started by gathering suggestions from members of our Advisory Council, Branch Manager Council and Sales Assistant Advisory Board.
“After that, we interviewed advisors, their staff and home office employees to see what new features and functionality they thought would be most helpful,” said Wertheim. “We also visited advisors’ offices and watched them use our existing site to observe what items they used most, what they hoped to find and which areas were the easiest or hardest to use. Once we summarized what we needed to improve, we researched best practices for websites.”
In response to requests to make the Business Center simple and intuitive, content is organized by the tasks advisors want to do, such as “Growing Business,” “Staying Compliant” and “Running Your Office.” A ‘Google-like’ search tool and the ability to “favorite” website pages enable users to find relevant information quickly and easily.
The home page includes an interactive corporate events calendar, an activity feed with daily notifications from the home office and rotating carousels highlighting Securities America’s and product sponsors’ programs and services. Motivational widgets help advisors track their individual daily and long-term activity goals, as well as AUM and GDC goals. For example, the Ideal Day widget lets advisors customize the activities that make up their ideal work day, then check them off each day as they complete them. A “contact us” button links to a Securities America corporate phone book and list of email addresses.
To promote interaction with peers, the new site hosts online discussion forums for advisors, branch managers, graduates of the broker-dealer’s Next Level coaching program, study groups, women advisors and office assistants. The entire site is mobile-enabled, allowing advisors to access it any time, any place, on any device.
