DENVER, Colo. - June 11, 2012 - Supporting its commitment to empowering advisors to do business "any time, any place, on any device," Securities America unveiled its new mobile app and the newest evolution of its advisor workstation dashboard at the firm's Connect! National Conference in Denver
today.
SA Mobile provides client relationship management information that includes client name or household name, account information, suitability, positions and notes. In addition, users have access to the firm's daily announcements and Advisorpod.com.
"Last year, we became the first broker-dealer to provide advisors with mobile access to our advisor workstation, along with Pershing and National Financial systems," said Doreen Griffith, executive vice president and chief information officer. "The new mobile app lets advisors view information from the workstation's CRM function in a format that is compatible with hand-held devices. SA Mobile interacts with native applications, meaning addresses in the CRM can be used by Google Maps or phone numbers can be used by the dialer of the device."
Advisors had the opportunity at the conference to test drive the new app and the new dashboard, which has been in pilot testing for several weeks. The new dashboard retrieves data from multiple locations and consolidates it into a single view. Advisors can choose which information shows on the dashboard from more than 30 data views and customize the layout.
"After using the new dashboard for a week, I like it better than anything I've used before," said Rob Anderson, a Securities America advisor in Paradise, Calif. "I really appreciate the investment Securities America puts into technology. It helps us do a better job for our clients, which is good for everybody."
The initial dashboard rollout includes the data feeds and functions for the client view. An office view, currently in development, will show advisors AUM and GDC trends, top clients, production mix and other data for managing their practice. A branch manager view planned for later this year will give OSJs a fast and easy way to see information for all their advisors.
"The traditional industry approach has been to provide reports on certain data sets across multiple clients," Griffith said. "Creating a composite picture required the advisor or assistant to run multiple reports and bring all the data together. Now that data will be brought together from multiple sources into a single view. What used to take minutes is now displayed within seconds in a way that makes the advisor more efficient and effective, whether dealing with clients, identifying the practice's most profitable clients, or analyzing production for a group of advisors."
