Securities America Hosts 2014 NextPhase Conference
LA VISTA, Neb. – Nov. 11, 2014 – Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS) invited 70 advisors to Amelia Island, Fla. for its NextPhase™ Conference. The event on Nov. 3-4 provided training on retirement income distribution so advisors can become the retirement income distribution expert in their community.
This year’s event expanded on the format of previous conferences, allowing advisors a more in-depth learning experience. NextPhase™ is Securities America flagship retirement income distribution program, which includes proposal generation and support, client marketing materials and an investment platform, with advisor coaching on how to master this specialty and implement it in their practice.
Advisors could choose from multiple topics throughout the event to tailor the conference to their interests. Industry experts engaged the audience in general sessions to raise awareness and offer solutions on areas on providing the highest level of service.
CEO of Corgenius and acclaimed speaker Amy Florian presented advisors with guidance on how to support clients dealing with transition and loss. Florian’s hour-long session was titled “Advising Clients Through the Toughest Times of Life.”
Marlene Lund, president, Speaking of Aging Inc. & Lund Insurance Agency Inc. offered remarks on the important topic of senior health care funding. Her presentation, “The Elephant in the Room,” educated the audience on taking control of these conversations with clients.
“Advisors taking advantage of our NextPhase program are receiving both a strong partner and a plan that provides solutions,” said Zach Parker, first vice president of Wealth Management & Product Strategy at Securities America. “Whether an advisor needs resources for outreach, education or to help ease client fears about volatility and uncertainty, we want them to have the knowledge and confidence to provide superior client service.”
Securities America has been providing income distribution training for advisors at live events since 2007, when it published its first white paper on the topic, Capturing the Income Distribution Opportunity.
