Securities America Hosts 2012 Managed Money ConferenceLA VISTA, Neb. – Nov. 16, 2012 – Seventy-two financial advisors had the opportunity to discuss the diverse money manager options available in an intimate setting at Securities America’s Managed Money Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., Nov. 5-7. The conference provided ideas, techniques and tactics to help advisors learn more about the programs offered by the third-party money managers available through Securities America and expand their investment advisory services to clients.
“The number and type of investment choices available in the market today continues to grow,” said attendee Philip Johnson, president of Johnson Financial Advisors in Tempe, Ariz. “In addition, these choices have become increasingly complex. It’s important for me, as a financial professional, to stay informed on those choices so I can best serve my clients. The Securities America Managed Money Conference, in a short period of time, gave me a great deal of information that I can bring back to my practice to help my clients.”
Securities America Advisors Inc., offers the Managed Money Conference annually exclusively to its advisors by invitation only. Twenty top third-party money managers and five mutual fund companies discussed sophisticated strategies and trends in asset management. Attendees were also given an exclusive briefing on enhancements and initiatives underway at Securities America Advisors.
“The Managed Money Conference gives our advisors the chance to quickly gain a baseline understanding of the unique focused approaches offered by the diverse list of money managers available at Securities America Advisors,” said Dennis King, senior vice president of business development and fee-based sales. “The conference is a vehicle that allows advisors to narrow their money manager search in a short amount of time while allowing them to further perform their due diligence on the handful they are interested in following the conference. The intimate setting of the conference allows advisors to meet with money managers one-on-one to discuss their specific business models and goals.”
The conference also dedicated time to advisors managing their clients’ assets themselves, and allowed advisors the opportunity to network with one another to discuss and share ideas they can implement into their own offices.
