LA VISTA, Neb. - Jan. 23, 2014 - Securities America has announced the following officer promotions for 2014:
David Vaughan has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Vaughan began his tenure at Securities America in 1994 and has worked progressively larger roles in accounting and finance during his career at the company. By 2012 as First Vice President, Vaughan was overseeing all financial analysis, reporting, accounting operations and internal audits. In 2013, Vaughan was promoted to Vice President of Finance and joined the Executive Leadership Team. In the past year, Vaughan has assumed leadership of branch audits and product due diligence.
John Behn has been promoted to first vice president. Behn joined Securities America just nine months ago as the national director of recruiting, and in that short time he has made an important impact on the company. In that role he established sales processes and metrics that resulted in above expectations recruiting performance in 2013. Prior to joining Securities America, Behn was a senior vice president with Aegon and Transamerica where he led multiple national sales teams.
