Securities America Announces 2015 Assistant, Distinguished Principal and Exemplary Office of the Year
Securities America is proud to announce the winners of its 2015 Assistant of the Year, Distinguished Principal of the Year and Exemplary Office of the Year.
Jennifer Nelson of Diversified Wealth Management in St. Louis Park, Minn., was named Assistant of the Year. In addition to assisting the firm’s President and Managing Partner Todd Terhorst and his clients, Nelson serves as Diversified Wealth Management’s principal support. She joined the firm in 2004. Terhorst said Nelson can be counted on to go above and beyond her day-to-day responsibilities. Most recently, she volunteered to travel to Fargo, N.D. to assist seven new advisors with training and onboarding.
“She made my job and the jobs of Securities America’s branch office development and transition teams far easier and provided a positive experience for the incoming new advisors,” Terhorst said.
Christina Wolfe of L&M Financial in Amherst, N.Y., earned the Distinguished Principal of the Year award. Wolfe, who joined L&M Financial in 2010, received multiple nominations for the award from Securities America and her branch office.
“It’s an honor to have Christina recognized for her outstanding skills at this level,” said L&M Financial CEO Amy Lipsitz. “Her commitment and dedication to working with our advisors ensures we keep our focus on doing the right thing for our clients every day.”
The Exemplary Office of Year award went to Queen City Financial Advisors of Cincinnati, Ohio. The selection committee awarded the firm, which joined Securities America in 2009 and is led by Registered Principal and President Chuck Hais, based on numerous qualifications, including collaboration with the home office, clean branch exams and minimal surveillance items.
“We are very excited and honored to be selected for this award,” Hais said. “We respect the jobs the Supervision and Surveillance Departments have to do, and we handle those aspects of the business as top priorities. We’re also fortunate to have great advisors who operate their business in a client-first manner.”
The Distinguished Principal and Exemplary Office of the Year awards will be presented at Securities America’s National Conference in June. The Assistant of the Year award will be presented in October at the company’s Assistant University.
