Expert after expert in the industry indicates that using financial plans is important to an advisory business, and may well dominate the future of it. Securities America realizes the positive impact of generating a financial plan for your clients. Not only does this differentiate you from your competition, but studies have shown that client retention is higher and assets per client are higher when clients have a plan. As an Investment Advisor Representative of Securities America Advisors (SAA), you may conduct financial planning using our Financial Planning agreements. SAA Investment Advisor Representatives (IARs) receive a 90% payout on financial planning revenue. IARs can increase that payout to as high as 95% when certain production criteria and professional certifications are met.

Securities America offers a complete line of flexible, fee-based programs so you can design portfolios to meet the needs of each of your clients. Our sophisticated trading and rebalancing system helps advisors construct and modify portfolios efficiently. Our investment research analysts can help you with portfolio design, and our business development staff can assist you with your marketing plan. Call one of our consultants at 800-989-8441 if you’d like to receive a copy of our "Guide to Fee-Based Services" which contains more detailed information about all of our fee-based programs.

Flexible Fee-Based Services
Securities America Advisors, Inc., (SAA), a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission with over $13 billion in assets under management, offers you an array of outstanding asset management programs. SAA provides an extremely flexible approach to asset management backed by a competitive payout. Whether choosing to maintain your own Registered Investment Advisory firm or be added to ours, SAA’s programs are structured so that you can do business your way.

Financial Advisors Program (FAP) -- Choose FAP when you prefer to apply your personal portfolio management skills. Mutual funds, stocks, bonds, covered call options, UITs and an eligible list of variable annuities can be included in FAP accounts. FAP is ideal if you wish to manage load-waived and no-load funds for a fee. FAP offers access to more than 2,500 load-waived funds and over 2,000 no-load funds. Over 1,300 funds have no ticket charges, and reduced ticket charges are available on 20 of the load-waived mutual fund sponsors’ funds. In addition, we pay the 12(b)-1 service fees on load-waived funds at your normal B/D payout.

Other FAP highlights include: a low $25,000 minimum account size; flexible client fee schedules; automatic monthly or quarterly client billing and fee debiting; powerful trading and rebalancing software; fee notifications incorporated into the clients’ brokerage statement; monthly online performance reports; cost basis information on your clients’ brokerage statement; and client presentation materials for both independent Investment Advisors and SAA IA representatives. Administrative fees begin at 20 basis points and can be discounted based on account size or total assets under management in this program.

Managed Opportunities® Advisor Directed -- This is an expansion of the Managed Opportunities program (discussed under "Third-Party Money Management" below) that gives you the ability to create your own self-directed investment models using mutual funds or individual securities. Plus, you can incorporate your investment models with those of the Managed Opportunities third-party money managers.

The really exciting part of the Advisor Directed option is that you have the ability to create an investment policy statement/proposal that combines any or all of the different investment strategies. So, you could mix your investment strategy with that of a mutual fund wrap manager, and generate one consolidated proposal and investment policy statement for your client. All trading is done through the Managed Opportunities platform.

Managed Opportunities - NextPhaseâ„¢ -- Introducing an enhanced platform solution that supports a time-segmented distribution strategy; a retirement income investment strategy designed to seek consistent income throughout retirement. Within this strategy, an investor's retirement assets are divided into segments and tagged to provide income over a specific period of time in retirement. The Managed Opportunities - NextPhase tools aim to help advisors identify the appropriate allocation needed across multiple segments as well as the target accumulation for investments within each segment so that, when harvested, they will provide the desired income throughout that period of time. A rich collection of investment products is available for implementing any given time-segmented distribution strategy, including mutual fund wrap and separate account solutions, advisor-directed portfolios, and fixed and variable annuities. Third Party Money Management:

Managed Opportunities® -- This state-of-the-art fee-based wrap program gives advisors immediate access to many different money managers, employing both mutual fund asset allocation strategies and separate account portfolios all on one single platform! Advisors and clients have 24/7 access to their account information (holdings, transactions, tax lot accounting, and on-demand performance reporting) through the Managed Opportunities web site. You can also utilize Multi Asset Class (MAC) Portfolios at three different investment options, and for each investment option you can choose from five asset allocation models. MAC portfolios consolidate separate account positions into one account to provide comprehensive and holistic portfolio management, and allow you to leverage nationally ranked managers and sophisticated technology to provide your clients and your business with superior solutions.

The Independent Managed Asset Program (IMAP) -- Choose IMAP when you prefer leaving portfolio management to professional, independent asset managers that are not on the Managed Opportunities platform. A list of approved money managers is available via our website. Money managers establish their own fee schedule and share a portion of the fee with you.

Retirement Opportunities -- this is a fully disclosed, open architecture 401(k) retirement platform which uses DailyAccess Corporation’s advanced, web-based retirement platform. This program provides Securities America’s representatives with a competitively priced retirement plan platform that can be installed on a commission-based or fee-based compensation structure. The Retirement Opportunities platform gives advisors access to full service and same-day trading with T + 1 settlement plus all the advantages of a bundled product.

Trust Services -- Securities America has partnered with Renaissance Trust to offer a full complement of trust services. Renaissance Inc. is the nation’s largest independent administrator of wealth management instruments. They are the industry leader in trust administration (currently administering more than 5,000 wealth management instruments with assets in excess of $2.5 billion), legal support, consulting services and training. With a wealth of knowledge and an unparalleled depth of expertise and experience, Renaissance offers total estate planning support, including powerful charitable planning strategies. They partner with financial advisors, attorneys, accountants and planned giving officers to help clients optimize their financial resources while leaving more to charity and providing for a family legacy. Advisors can work with Renaissance on new or existing trusts.

RoadMap Program -- This powerful program consists of both a workbook and workshops. Securities America recognizes the need for our representatives to stay competitive and adapt to the changing investment landscape. We've developed a program in the form of a workbook and a workshop called "RoadMap: Making the Transition to Fee-Based Business".

The RoadMap Workbook is a comprehensive guide aimed at helping you transition your business from a transaction-based practice to one that is fee-based. It helps you position yourself before you begin the transition and then takes you step-by-step through the transition process. Additionally, Securities America sponsors the RoadMap Workshop, the next logical step after studying the RoadMap Workbook. The Workshop is a complete and intensive in-depth session that will take you through the entire transition process in much more detail than the workbook ever could.
