Enhance your business with comprehensive training programs, coaching, tools, and curriculum from Securities America. The Practice Management Program provides you with ideas, solutions, and consultation that will help you manage a more effective, profitable and satisfying practice.
- Practice Management Consulting -- We’re so committed to your business’s success that we offer you consulting services -- right at your office. They include a confidential analysis of your practice, and they’re designed to provide customized advice and coaching on how to organize and manage your practice to meet your business and personal goals. A consultant works one-on-one with each staff member in your office -- including reps -- to uncover areas that need improvement. Then, they present recommendations and tools to maximize your efficiency and productivity.
- National Conference -- Every year, Securities America brings together representatives and top industry speakers and presenters. We provide three days of valuable workshops on investments, marketing, compliance, practice management, financial planning, and technology. It’s a great opportunity to network and share ideas with other top producers while earning valuable continuing education credits and state insurance credits -- and it’s always in an exciting location!
- Professional Development Conference -- Securities America hosts a yearly national industry conference covering specific topics like Financial Planning, Business Development, e*Strategies, and Practice Management. This three-day event presents a variety of 3-hour-long workshops focusing on industry trends and business development techniques, featuring nationally known speakers. The conference also includes one full day focused on money management, bringing together our best third-party money managers to show you how to build your business and client relationships with managed money. You can choose from two educational tracks: one geared toward advisors managing client assets themselves, and the other designed for advisors who prefer to outsource asset management.

- Masters Forum -- This "by invitation only" expenses-paid event is for Securities America’s top producers. Forum content features dynamic speakers focusing on cutting edge topics, all designed to give attendees an extra advantage in the financial marketplace.

- Assistant University -- This two-day event helps your office assistants learn the key skills they need to make your business a success. From back office support and client service, to marketing and technology, we offer multiple session tracks to benefit both new and experienced assistants and office staff. The Assistant University is held in our Omaha headquarters.
- HR Advantage -- Hire right the first time with Securities America’s Human Resources tools. Two different pricing and service levels allow you to choose just the support you need, including step-by-step instructions in the "How to Hire" guide, plus forms, reference materials, applicant assessments, compensation analysis, resume screening, background checks, and much more.
- Client Survey Service -- Only by tracking the full dimensions of performance -- as seen through the eyes of the client -- can advisors build practices that advocate client needs. Securities America has partnered with Quantum Market Research to provide our advisors with a dynamic client survey service designed to generate more referrals, enhance client retention, and determine what your clients value most.
- Newsletter -- Securities America’s bi-monthly newsletter The Star goes to all our representatives, with everything from marketing ideas to explaining the latest product innovation. We discuss new FINRA guidelines and share ideas on practice management. We also introduce new services and technological innovations. It’s a great reference to hold onto.

- Perspectives -- Our monthly educational audio series focuses on business development ideas and features interviews with top producers and industry experts. Perspectives tapes or CDs are free to Securities America Advisors using our fee-based programs.
- Practice Management Guides -- We have a large variety of guides that provide step-by-step instructions on the "how-tos" of managing a successful financial services practice. Just a sampling of the topics include:

In conjunction with Mark Tibergien (a principal of Moss Adams Advisory Services and a nationally known advisor, speaker and workshop leader for banks, business groups, CPAs, financial planners and other professional groups) and American Express Financial Advisors, we have developed a guide for your succession planning. The guide serves as a resource for planning the sale of your practice as well as offers you guidance on buying a practice should you want to expand your business. American Express Centurion Bank also makes business loans available to approved Securities America representatives for the purpose of business acquisition.
Securities America also has a great complement to our Continuity of Practice program called FPtransitions.com. It’s a fully independent, on-line site specializing in the buying, selling or merging of financial practices. This service is part of Securities America’s effort to support our representatives who desire to sell their practices to other Securities America representatives and those reps who wish to grow their assets under management and increase income by acquiring local practices.
- EduCenter -- Securities America will shorten the time it takes to train new associates so they can become productive and efficient sooner. Our online, interactive e*Certification Program is specifically designed for assistants, representatives and branch managers. As a part of the EduCenter, this program provides multiple levels of curriculum for assistants and representatives to meet their unique needs at each stage of their career. Course topics range from general industry and product knowledge to Securities America specific systems and procedures. The Securities America online e*Certification Program lets you focus your training efforts on the knowledge and skills specific to your office.
